Ingredients
- 1 Pack of your preferred noodles
- 1 tbsp Shallot Oil (see note below)
- 1.5 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- Chopped Spring Onion and Shallot Flakes (for garnish)
Instructions
- Add Noodles: Add noodles to approximately 800ml of boiling water. Cook according to packet instructions.
- Prepare the Sauce: While the noodles are cooking, mix the shallot oil and both soy sauces together in a large bowl.
- Drain: Drain the noodles thoroughly once they are cooked.
- Combine: Toss the noodles and sauce together immediately until well coated.
- Garnish: Top with spring onion and crispy shallot flakes.
- Serve: Serve with your favourite protein.
Chef's Notes:
Shallot oil is simple to make! Finely dice 1 small red shallot. Pan-fry with 250ml of vegetable oil for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Use 1 tbsp for this recipe.
Quick Tip:
Make extra oil and store it in a clean, dry jar. It's a great flavour-booster to have on hand for quick meals!
